Description
Vintage: Merlot – Sangiovese
Vinification: draining of the fresh must just a few hours after crushing. Long, very low-temperature fermentation. Three months of aging sur lies with frequent bâtonnage. Natural settling before bottling.
Characteristics: pale pink tending toward onion skin. Aromas of rose and orange blossom with hints of red fruit and subtle yeast-derived nuances. Balanced, non-intrusive acidity supported by structure and creaminess.
Alcohol by volume: 13,5%
Food pairings: its structure and well-balanced acidity make Rosa di Poggio a very versatile wine, ideal with appetisers and first courses, whether fish or meat-based. Very pleasant with cheeses, and at its best when paired with shellfish
Serving suggestions: medium-sized stemmed glasses. Recommended serving temperature: 12-14 °C.
